Below is a list of the most common frequently asked questions that first time rentals have. If you have a question not listed below, please feel free to contact us. We will  be happy to to help with any inquiry or concern(s).

  • What do the prices you have listed on your website include?
    Price includes any items that are listed in addition to your rental (e.g. life preservers, anchors, etc) plus a full tank of gas. Price does not reflect the amount of gas required to bring the tank back to full or sales tax.
  • What do I need for a deposit and how much is it?
    Your credit card will secure your boat reservation. Most rentals require a $250.00 deposit at the time of booking your reservation.
  • Do I need to fill the tank before I return my rental?
    Yes, we have several fueling stations within minutes of our Big Dukes Lane location. This will vary depending on your use, the size of the motor, wind, current, weight and price of marine (non-ethanol) grade gas that day.
  • Do you have half-day (1/2) rental?
    Half day rentals are available during non-peak times and subject to availability.
  • Is there a minimum amount of time that I need to rent a boat/pontoon/pwc?
    We offer half day, full day, or vacation rentals.
  • What is your weather policy?
    The weather is normally beautiful and sunny on Lake Norman. Expect a short afternoon shower on hot summer days. If it is raining the morning of the rental and the customer would like to cancel their rental, they can do so without any penalty, if we can't reschedule it. However if the rental turns inclement after the rental has been checked out we would prorate the day and offer a rain check, depending on the time of day, and if its a shower or raining the rest of the day.
  • It's the week before my trip and something has come up.  Can I cancel my rental?
    Yes, you can cancel your rental reservation up to 48 hours before your rental would begin.
  • What if I just don't show up?
    If the customer does not give proper notice (minimum 48 hours) of cancellation for the rental and chooses not to show up, they will be responsible for the entire rental period. We do ask for a major credit card at the time of reservation for this exact purpose.
